The Pride season is looming on the horizon once again and Bradfords own LGBT pride festival is begining to take shape. Bradford Pride 2009 will be held on Saturday May the 30th in Centenary Square in the centre of Bradford.

The Pride event will celebrate the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer communities of Bradford. With a main stage with acts throughout the day and stalls/activities run by various community groups (including Blagy) the day promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The line up so far includes the Buffet DJs & The Bet Lynch Mob dancers, Tom Booze as well as deaf-signing drag from Alexandra Queen of the Deaf World. The day will be fully inclusive so make sure you come down and show your support for Bradford LGBT and help make the event a success.

UPDATE: More acts announced. AMY LAME, Timberlina and Gay Abandon have all joined the line up for what is fast shaping up to be the best Bradford Pride ever.

Fun in the sun with "Picnic Allsorts" hosted by LGBTQ Soc

Picnic Allsorts is finally here and has been penned in for the 18th April from 4pm at the University Amphitheatre (big bit of grass next to the library).

Organsised by Bradford Uni's LGBTQ Society it will be a space for everyone and anyone to come along and socialise at a non-alcoholic alternative to the popular Allsorts club nights and will hopefully see a range of LGBTQ people attend to 'network' and generally socialise with others in different age ranges and sexual identities.

Its suggested that anyone attending brings something along. Click here for more information about Allsorts and the LGBTQ Soc.
